FAQ - FrequentLY Asked Question
JOINING A TRADE UNION
You can complete the declaration on our website zzbayer.pl or contact us and we submit the declaration form.
MEMBERSHIP
The Trade Union can negotiate higher wages, better working conditions and apply for additional benefits for employees.
We are your voice and we speak on your behalf, so basically one of your so-called obligations is, for example, paying contributions or completing a survey.
None Unless someone wants to support us because they have read some news in the field of changes in labor law or came up with an idea that can be implemented in our organization
Any employee employed by Bayer Sp. can be a member of Trade Union.
None. This is guaranteed by the Trade Unions Act.
Yes. The opinion of our members is very important to us. We often communicate and ask our members for their opinion. The employer is obliged to consult the changes in regulations with us, which is why we later create the so-called working groups to find out what our employees think.
When we negotiate benefits or raises, ultimately all employees receive them. But what we can get depends on whether we are strong enough and whether there are enough of us and then the employer will take our voice into account. When there are only a few of us and we don’t care about anything, we won’t get anything. That’s why you should join the union so we can be stronger.
ACTIVITIES OF THE TRADE UNION / BEU
We operate on the basis of a signed agreement with the employer, which clearly defines our space in the Bayer organization. Today we know how often we can invite employees to meetings, and how often we can send emails to the entire organization. This gives us comfort and confidence that we do not disturb employees at work and do not disturb work order with our activities. In addition, the cooperation between the Trade Unions and the Employer is defined in the Trade Unions Act.
We have a lot of them during our 3-year activity. We inform about all of them in our newsletters dedicated to our members, as well as we inform all employees about some of them. You can read about all our successes on our website, which we are still working on.
Yes. We visit our employees at regular meetings of business departments. We also visit the office in Gdańsk. We also plan to go to meetings with our employees in large cities in Poland. However, our daily duties at Bayer do not give us a lot of time to do so, but we will try.
Contact us and we’ll talk about the meeting.
As you prefer. It doesn’t matter to us, our entire team (Management Board and Ambassadors) is in regular contact and even if we don’t know the answer, we consult each other and exchange topics with which our members come to us.
TRADE UNION / BEU SUPPORT
Yes, of course. We can boast of many cases thanks to which an employee said goodbye to the company in full agreement and satisfaction. We support in negotiations with the employer on matters relating to working conditions and payment.
No! Trade Union only supports its members. It’s a privilege to be a part of Bayer Employees Union.
Yes, it can. That’s our role. However, we cannot guarantee the results of these talks to anyone. We approach each case individually and in detail.
Whenever you need such help, provided that you are our member.
We do not refuse any support to our members. We can always talk to the employer representing the employee’s interests. Each case is considered individually. We sit down and discuss the possibilities together. If we do not have the appropriate knowledge, we can consult each topic with OPZZ (All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions) lawyers and then we know what the employee’s situation looks like.
